Get an introduction to basic CAD modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360. This class will show you the basics of modeling, sculpting, and rendering. Use of sketches, primitives and assemblies to create 3D models that can be 3D printed or processed, to use the laser cutter. The course will cover basic sketches, creation tools (extrude, rotate, sweep, etc.), modifying solids, and component assemblies.

Fusion 360 is free for hobbyist and entrepreneurs (for money, see terms of agreement for more info). This is a full CAD software allowing simple to complex assemblies to be created.

Lab Computers are limited and we suggest to bring a laptop to work on. Please install AutoDesk Fusion 360 ahead of time, as it is a large download and install. You can contact gjmakerspace@gmail.com to get assistance on the install.

The class is limited to 8 students. There are 3 computers available and students can share.
